Tonight: Britney, let's start with your new song, "Sometimes."
What is it about?
Britney Spears:
Basically it's about a girl who is really in love with this guy. She's
shy and she really doesn't know how to approach him. So that's basically
what it's all about.
ET: And
what will we see in the video?
Britney:
Well, the video takes place here in Malibu Beach. I have a lot of
dancers here with me. There's not really an in depth story line. It's
really laid back and I hope it turns out really well.
ET: You
were injured on the set I heard. Were you scared to go back?
Britney:
I was scared a little bit. But I had my physical therapist with me
and I've been doing physical therapy for six weeks now. I was ready.
ET: Did
you change the choreography at all?
Britney:
Yeah, there were some moves that I wasn't able to do because of my
knee, like go all the way down and bend my knees. But we worked our
way around it. The choreography looks really good.
What did Britney
do while waiting for her injury to heal?
ET: There's
been newsthat you have a boyfriend. A boyfriend that is quite famous
himself?
Britney:
Really?
ET: It's
been said that you're seeing JUSTIN [TIMBERLAKE] from N'SYNC.
Britney:
No. That's not true. We're both really really busy. I don't have time
for a boyfriend. We're really good friends. We worked together on
the Mickey Mouse Club -- him and JC [CHASEZ]. I guess that's
why they're putting us together. It's so funny how people start rumors
like that.
ET: You're
going to be on a tour pretty soon. Can you tell me a little bit about
that?
Britney:
Well, we actually start rehearsals in June for the tour that will
be in July. I am so excited about it because I have so many ideas
ready for the tour. I've got eight dancers with me. It's going to
be crazy! I'm excited.
ET: Are
you going to Europe as well?
Britney:
I hope so! I have to, man!
ET:
But you don't have any definite plans.
Britney:
No, I don't have any definite plans.
ET: How
did you spend the time while you were healing from your injury?
Britney:
Well, when I hurt my knee, I just went home for a while. I had the
surgery three weeks after I was hurt. After the surgery, I was home
every day, you know, really concentrating on my knee, trying to get
it better. I was so sad because I couldn't really do anything. I'm
so hyper, and I like to move and dance, so I was so happy to get back
on my feet again.
ET: What
did you do? Did you play video games and stuff like that?
Britney:
I watched a lot of TV and ate a lot.
ET: Well,
thanks a lot!
Britney:
Thank you!
