American Beauty actress Mena Suvari has filed for divorce from her husband, cinematographer Robert Brinkmann, it has been reported.

Suvari is claiming irreconcilable differences as the basis for her divorce petition, Associated Press reports.

Brinkmann, 43, and Suvari, 26, eloped in March 2000 just after the actress had turned 21, AP reports. The couple met while filming Sugar & Spice.
