Usher reportedly dumped Naomi Campbell because he was "bored" with the model.

Despite claims by the catwalk beauty that she ditched the laid back singer because his entourage was too controlling, his friends have hit back saying the three-month relationship had simply run its course.

The pair's romance came to a head at last year's Billboard Music Awards when Usher, who picked up 11 prizes at the ceremony, asked his model girlfriend to accompany him.
But Naomi reportedly refused because she thought he was getting more publicity out of their relationship than she was.

However, shortly after the split, a source close to Naomi said: "Usher's camp are very controlling and wanted Naomi to behave a certain way and do as they say - including showing up to every red carpet event with him and posing for every picture. She was sick of it."

However, a close friend of Usher has now been quoted by Britain's Daily Mirror as saying : "He's furious. Naomi's been going around telling everyone that she was fed up being told what to wear and how to act when out with Usher.

"She's being saying his advisers took over the affair and were telling them where to go out and how to act in public. It's rubbish.

"Usher's a laid-back guy and wouldn't put with any of that nonsense. It just sounds like sour grapes.

The fact is Usher got bored and she was gutted when he stopped returning her calls, and this is damage limitation."
